Meet the Organizer

Abygail Rhodes is an avid reader whose tbr pile is longer than her lifespan.

She wanted to attend a book event in the Fort Wayne area but was stunned to find there had been no large previous ones and no plans for one so she decided to plan her own.
She's the proud owner of A Book Affair Events LLC and is the sole primary organizer of every event of A Book Affair.

She's been overwhelmed with the love that her event has received and is constantly thinking of new ideas, games and activities to make each year better than the last. She finds great happiness in connecting with indie authors and building friendships with her vendors.

Her goal is to eventually bring the Affair to other cities in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan that may be lacking in some bookish and indie author events.

She is a proud wife to Taylor and a dog-mom to Trinity and Artemis.

She also likes to foster dogs for her local humane society when she's not planning the next event and hopes to host a Humane Society Fundraising Bookish event in the near future.
